ABOUT US

Everything you need, love and compassion, strength and courage, is already within you!

Yoga for Youngsters helps children and teenagers develop beneficial habits and feelings, which unlocks a child’s positive perspective and mood, initiates self-discipline, even tolerates increased pain, and encourages healthy sleep patterns. We empower kids to dive deep into their minds and unleash their true potential. We teach them the importance of taking care of their minds as they take care of their bodies.

We use yoga to help people increase awareness of themselves and their surroundings. We help them to a path that develops concentration and reduces stress.

Yoga is entirely different for kids and adults. While many practices are the same, adults tend to have self-reflection, more patience and can stay focused for longer periods. Kids, on the other hand, need to start with smaller chunks at a time. Their techniques evolve as they grow.

Yoga for youngsters encourages mothers to establish children’s healthy sleep routines and limit screen time; introducing them to yoga early helps calm them. Hence, making them lifelong practitioners.

ABOUT CORY

Cory is a naturally gifted, qualified yoga instructor for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Hyperactive Disorders/Attention Deficit Distractibility, and Special Needs.

She implements teaching techniques through Hatha Yoga which students can use outside class to help regulate their emotions.

She is a licensed RYS200 hour who sought comfort in yoga when her son was diagnosed with Autism at 18ms and was non-verbal. She used yoga breaths to help calm his frustrations, helping him communicate and strengthen his core. His improvements became rapid, and she began teaching many other special needs children the Yoga techniques, which is how Yoga for Youngsters was created.

Cory has a kind and loving way to make Yoga classes fun and enjoyable for all ages.

She loves to watch them shift from disconnecting, stimming, fidgeting, and anxiety to gentle awareness and focus of their bodies – that satisfies the soul and relishes the mind.
